Mantua is in a particularly favourable geographical position. A few kilometres away, Sabbioneta, the 'Little Athens', the fifth century "ideal city" of Vespasiano Gonzaga is, along with the capital, the tourist pearl of the Mantuan area, in addition to Verona and its arena, Lake Garda with its enchanting landscape, the Mille Miglia city of Brescia and other villages famous for their culinary and cultural productions.
