• Felonica - Po River WWII Museum, Po river bank, S. Maria Assunta Abbey

Felonica, a thousand- year old village, located at the very far end of Lombardia Region.
During WWII it assumed an important role due to its geographical position in fact it was crucial to the crossing paths of the retreating German troops and then it became the connection area for Anglo-American Army. The center devoted to the memory of these war events is the Po River WWII Museum which gathers images, photos, documents and historical objects from 1944 to the crossing of the Po river in April 1945.
The tour continues with the visit of the Abbey, surrounded by a striking scenery near to The Po river bank. Inside it has valuable frescos painted by an artist who is contemporary of Giotto.
